Problem & Solutions:

Some of the major problem that was encountered during the UPGRADING DATA NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE FOR TVTC IN DIFFERENT CITIES along with their solutions are shown below:-

  1. Problem 1 for Career Episode 2 and its solution

At the time of testing, the difficulty began with accessing of the data from the sites as it was the overall running environment. Also, the problem got more complex due to the different localities of the colleges and institutes throughout the kingdom. This led to the rough calculation of time and data, and finally, it may take the long duration for the completion of the project. He immediately arranged a group discussion with the Project Manager and discussed the problem he faced. As per his convenience, he asked them to settle their conflicts and provide him with the essentials data to accomplish the project successfully with the authority of appropriate analyzing of the existing conditions of the systems. Finally, he was able to resolve the issues that he faced during the project with the arranged meetings during the project duration.

Problem & Solutions:

  1. Problem 1 for Career Episode 3 and its solution

During project author received the complete design of network architecture based on Ethernet technology in accordance with the requirement of tender. He reviewed the drawing and technical layouts. He found that network design based on Ethernet increased the overall cost of project work. Since it was very difficult to modify the design in the stage where everything was ready for delivery. But, he did the new design and presented to consultants within a limited time period without any delay in the delivery of the equipment used in the installation. He decided to use GPON instead of Ethernet to optimize the overall cost of the project. He planned to have approximately 300 layers as well as two switches with the dedicated 12 core fiber cable for an entire switch used in MDF room. In the new design, he used GPON technology for all 6 apartments which used 2 cores along with 12 cores fiber as an uplink to the MDF room. He replaced the entire wireless access controller, voice gateways along with core switches by optical line terminal devices.

  1. Problem 2 for Career Episode 3 and its solution

In this project work, he observed that the owner was very keen to give priority to exceptional and refined interiors. He found that there was no choice for 19” cabinet inside apartments. He also found that there was limited space in some apartment which required 2 patch panels for UFTP copper cables as well as multimode fiber cables for separate administration network. He took the risk to accept the requirement of the client for shallow cabinet with 120mm depth to make visible for entire tenants. He considered the ventilation of switch along with bend radius cables inside the cabinets and mounting of the patch panel. He sent out the scratch design to the manufacturing facility to produce such a new product.

  1. Problem 3 for Career Episode 3 and its solution

In the starting, he observed that the project had a small data center of 10 cabinets with the undefined specification. He created new Questionnaire form which covered the entire needs to get a complete and specific design by considering SAN zones, networks, a server with network topology, perforation, redundancy, load rating along with automated infrastructure management. He used that form for the other datacenter project.
